Each hand polished blade is made up of a hard VG-5 (molybdenum) core with a non-stain, high carbon steel outside supporting layer for an extremely sharp edge with the greatest edge retention imaginable. Unlike most competing western-style knives, these knives are finished on a Japanese waterstone before leaving the factory for an extremely sharp edge right from the start. A beautiful 3-rivet mahogany wood handle offers optimum balance and durability. Packaged in an exquisite gift box with sharpening and care instructions.
